Pinoy pride meets Celtic pride

Manny Pacquiao and the Celtics! I just saw on youtube Manny Pacquiao being smothered by 80% of the Boston Celtics' starting five plus Sam Cassel and Tony Allen. Pacman getting foreign media mileage is no longer big news since most Pinoy fans have already gone jaded hearing, seeing, listening Pacman news/stories churned out on a daily basis on the internet mostly over the course of his illustrious career which we Pinoys have been witness years earlier but which the world took notice only 5 years ago on that night when he gave the once deemed invincible Marco Antonio Barrera the worst beating of his equally glorious boxing career

Much like that eventful night of 2003 when Pacquiao announced his global entry official, I was awestruck and reminded once more, after years of having been dulled by the onslaught of Pac news forced right up our throats, that Pacquiao is indeed that big of a celebrity what with these NBA behemoths chanting Manny, Manny, while jumping in unison similar to what they do during their pre-game entrances. I am a huge basketball fan and I don't care so much about Pacquiao winning cause you can largely count that it will certainly happen but to see Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen-the big three-celebrating with Pacquiao, that is just totally amazing. I am starstruck. These NBA players are no mere patsies. They are future candidates for hall of fame and they were just recently crowned world champs. Man, that is just totally cool. The male Pinoy fans of Manny must have been equally, if not more thrilled seeing Manny with these accomplished players than they probably are with the outcome of the fight.
